The subject pretty much sums it p. How do i submit a pic of something that does not pertain to a route. If i dont link it to a route the editors kick it back to me. Lets just say a portrait pic for the profile for example. Thanks

well submit it as a profile pic then...and not as a climbing pic... just put it in profile category and not to trad,sport or whatever...it's simple.

As one of the Photo Editors, an answer... If it is a climbing picture, on a route, then it needs to be linked to that route. If it is not climbing related, then choose "Profile, Artistic, Topo, etc...", as in whatever catagory your picture fits into. I looked at your two pics, and one could be Profile or Artistic but you are traversing a glacier so it should be climbing related. On the other you are belaying from an anchor on a multi-pitch climb... A 5.7X as you wrote in the description, so I think that is climbing related brutha. Meaning, they should both be linked to the RDB as requested by the Editors, just as this should have been posted in Suggestions & Questions not General, if ya know what I mean ??? :wink:
