I haven't been on this site very long but polarwid has impressed me in a very short time. His knowledge and willingness to help me in this sport is appreciated. His Alaska and England work is monumental. Must have put in a lot of time entering areas/routes, etc. Thanks polarwid!

You are welcome... Now if I could only convince you to come out of your bouldering shell, and return to the BIG ROCKS... Well, 5.8 can be fun, very fun, believe me...

I highly agree! Polarwid is a rare breed (often recognized by the common “w00t w00t” call). Always enthusiastic, upbeat and more than willing to help out anyone with questions, beta, or just some positive, friendly advice. Not to mention the fact that he looks AWESOME in his birthday suit! Ooops! (did I say that outloud??)

No, I used photo shop to remove about 12 inches of that pic if I wanted it to be submitable... OOPS, AM I ALLOWED TO SAY THAT!!!??? All I did was PM the guy about his retirement from TRAD climbing, saw his pic on the Granite Mountain page. Did the same with PTPP! He is pretty cool though...props for Bobtheboulderer! LATER DOUG

Polarwid has helped me immensely with my questions on alpine climbing. Although I do more alpining than anything else I realized after talking to him that I have TONS more to learn. I would highly recommend getting in touch with him if you are ever in Alaska. Learn from the best! He and elcapbuzz definitely have the best humbleness to talent ratio!
