Why "Cracklover"? No doubt about it, I love pulling on jugs as much as the next guy, but since much of the climbing in this neck of the woods (Northeast US) is face climbing, it's always a big thrill for me to find a nice tight crack. Nothing feels quite like it. Oh, and I always sign off with my initials... GO

My name came from working as a high steel climbing rigger. When I would get ready to go up into the high beams, I would put on my full body harness and I 'd have pulleys and gadgets dangling. So people started to say that I looked like an action figure.

Brojay is an interesting story. At all the other forums and member areas on the Internet I am known as Rojay Pronounced RO JAY. or BRO JAY It was at one of those college drinking nights and We were playing one of those make the rules up drinking games and it was determined that we had to refer to each other as our rule leader decided. I was Rojay. The name stuck. But as Rojay is an already user name here, one of the first places in which I have seen that name before. I was forced to go with Brojay which I was commonly called and had to correct them with Rojay.

As you can see by this photo, I'm quite popular with the extreme leftist groups here in Argentina. They keep leaving me friendly notes, scribbled on the walls, reminding me to go home. My wife sure appreciates that. http://www.nuestrapropuesta.org.ar/...s/566/marchafgan.JPG In all seriousness: the extreme leftist groups in Argentina are whiny and rambunctious, but consistently get less than 1% of the popular vote in elections, so don't let me give you the wrong impression about this country.

Athena, my mother, came to earth and had an affair with a mortal man, a miller known as Ding. Ding the Miller if you can believe that. Anyway, she fornicated the pitiful mortal and I was a result of that union. They named me after my father, the mother's milk of a greek goddess and the burnt bread of a good bagel (which is all dear Athena was really after (your bagels... how much for you bagels. I want to buy you bagels... Ding said there was no price he would accept from Athena for his bagels. hehe) I am Dingus Milktoast, hear me roar. Oh, this all happened in Texas of all places, a long time ago. But she didn't dip ME in the river Styx, goddamnit! All though my dad once threw me in the Rio Grande. DMT

I say it a lot when I am leading. My friends find it particularly funny when I'm on a sport-climb with a bolt at my knees and I'm yelling "Watch me!"

I drew a tattoo while I spent 2 months at sea (then got it when I came home), it is an albatross on my shoulderblade with a masthead knot right below it. The albatross is from the Rime of the Ancient Mariner and the masthead knot is a cross. Albatrossmike just doesn't have the ring that Mastheadmike does.

Basecamp is pretty simple, it is the name of the company that Rojay or Brojay and I are working on starting. We are trying to start an indoor rock climbing gym and store. Brojay came up with the name, I decided to advertise it. Under any other forums I go by R3l0@d. The reasons are numerous and since its not my handle here there is no reason to state it!!!

My user ID is a shortened version of the words severed head. I thought it up while playing an online RPG. I really liked it, and so I've used it for user ID's everywhere since then. I always thought it was clever, but I often get people that don't get it. Steve P.S. If anyone ever comes across a severed head smiley, that would be effin awesome.

Oh brothers and sisters... Let us journey back into hallowed aniquity to divine the origin of Reverend Ford's nickname. It all started back in the mid 1980's, when I was... well.... much younger. I was running with a gang of skate punks. (Los Bumheads Revolution!!) We decided that it would be good to have nicknames that only WE knew, in case we had to yell out warnings to each other. (didn't want the MAN to know who to look for!) Since my best friend and I had just read Hithchiker's guide to the Galaxy, I was soon christened Ford. (as in Ford Prefect). I returned the favort to my ol' buddy, now known as Art. (Dent Arthur Dent) Years passed, I got old and sold out, and I stopped (mostly)commiting petty crimes. Somehow, the name stuck, as a good nickname should. Reverend Ford Holiness to the Ford! p.s. the Reverend part came from me being, in fact, a reverend of the Universal Life Church. (i clicked on the "Ordain Now!" button)

Because I walk the thinnest line between the dark and light sides of my mind. And I've always wanted a Camaro. And a punk rock gal. Oh jeez... who am I kidding? I merely want to have Dave Blood's babies... Too bad about my genetics... and the fulfilment of his prophesy. RIP Dave. The world was too good for that particular milkman.
