I just returned from Red Rock, NV and had the priviledge to climb with Gail & Mitchal (gblauer), and Greg (g), I had never climbed with people that I did not know previous to a trip and I must admit I was stoked to be able to climb with them all. No spray they were all much better climbers than they led me to believe, it was truly awesome. Any of you can call me anytime to go and climb, you are true climbers with incredibly positive attitudes! Thanks We did not get to climb as much as we would have liked to due to weather, but the climbing I did do with them was amazing. I guess a lot of times for me the people I spend my time climbing with can really make a trip even if the weather is not cooperating. I am putting this post down because I never thought I would climb with someone I met online. What an eye opening experience.

In reply to: This site is a HUGE factor in getting me climbing partners. It's quite awesome! :) Everybody I've got on my rockclimbing.com partner's list was a great partner, although I only met half of them (5 of 10) here. And my list doesn't include rockclimbing.com members I've just climbed with indoors. The two of those I can think of seem like they'd be great partners too.

I've met, climbed (and slid on snow for that matter) with a fair amount of people from this site. It has been a blast. I prefer to call it internet dating on rc.com, cause it's kind of like a first date when you partner up with someone from this site. It has been a great way to meet new and very cool people.

I hope I have as much luck finding good climbing partners through the site, as you guys had. I'm planing on moving from good ol' Germany back to my fav. city Atlanta, and definitely need to hook up with some great climbers there. Hope this site will help. Did you guys all find each other through the Partner forum?

I am going to get G to do a wall with me, he has such a cool attitude, and he seems like he would be stoked to hit a multi day route. vegastradguy-they told me they tried to contact you, next time go with them for sure, they are all much better climbers than they will lead you to believe.

Agree 100%... I've met up with and/or climbed with just over 300 from the site so far in my travels around the country for work. All but 2 I would meet up with again. Hell, most of my regular partners I met through this site.

True on both counts. Hey, I met uasunflower through the MassClimbers thread. But aside from her, most of the people there have been great! (Just kidding) Ouch, stop that, that hurts! GO

Thank you Johnny. It was truly great to have the chance to climb with you as well. You are a great climber and I am looking forward to the next time we get to share a rope with you. I have climbed with a bunch of the folks from the site and even met the woman of my dreams as a direct result of RC.com partnering. Thank you RC.com ILGB Mitch

I have seen contacts go both ways I have met people here who I then climbed with and got to know better, as well as casually met people at the crag not knowing they were rc.comers who later through their picture or posts about particular climbs have then gotten to know on the site. Of course RC.com is a fun place to be but it has been a very useful tool to me as well. thanks all

I have met almost all my partners over the past 18 months on RC.com since moving to San Diego. The site made the transition to a new town a whole lot easier. I just wish I could get more time off work to climb with them.
