We could buy a lot of gas for what it would cost to by a different car.

And I love my truck. Its been good to me.

We wouldn't get much for it if I sold it. Its been rode hard and put up wet far to often. But its still a great work truck. But I really don't need it for work anymore.

It is already imported. You mean you have to do it legally if you want to sell it? Don't you just have to change the ownership registration?

I thought you already have it there. Are you talking about registering it in Canada?

Unless they are going to tax the bejesus out of it when you bring it over, do it. Aren't you planning on hitting that road again at some point?

I'm personally holding onto the naive belief that gas prices will eventually go back down.
Its much more complicated than just registering it. There are a lot of papers that need to get filled out and other stuff that needs to get done.

Yeah, totally TMI. I could bust out some really gross stories, but I hold back. We don't need to hear about chossy getting palpated by some hairy old doctor.
A word of advice. If the doctor is checking your prostate and he has both hands on your shoulders, something is terribly wrong. Or he hired a midget as an assistant.
That's what I told you last week.

I almost lost a whole set of nuts once when they almost all dumped off the biner. I don't remember if they caught on the nose or if they were all lined up on the gate and it opened and I somehow stopped them. I just remember being in an awkward position and grabbing them and almost losing everything but the biner.

I did the same thing once, that's why I asked. Luckily, I was only like 10 feet off the ground.

We all drop stuff. It happens. Sucks when you loose stuff because of it, though.
I didn't loose any of my nuts that time.

I did drop a draw a couple of weeks ago. Other than the micro fractures its still fine though. I mostly drop biners and draws. I did drop a whole set of nuts once, but I haven't made that n00b mistake (knock on wood) since I was a n00b.

I haven't really dropped all that much gear. I dropped a tri-cam once, and a couple of nuts, and a roll of tape. Last spring when I went to the Gunks for the first time since my accident (and hadn't really lead anything again yet) I was so nervous I managed to drop a biner and my nut tool (which thankfully I didn't need after that point).

Yeah, I think that was about it. Now watch Nathan come on here and make a liar out of me.
No, you know better than to drop gear when climbing with me.Tongue

To be honest, I'm hoping he doesn't get too turned by the doctor sticking her finger up his ass. I might get jealous.

In the 10+ years I have climbing, I have been fortunate enough to not drop a single piece of gear. A few really close calls, but no droppage. (This statement is going to bite me in the ass sometime really soon, I can feel it)
Hopefully it isn't your whole rack. That would suck.

I've heard of people dropping the whole gear sling.

Since my jaunt up Mt. Whitney last year I've taken to racking on my harness. That's what those loops are for right? I've since climbed where I needed my FULL rack and the sling carried my doubles; they were placed first. A couple extra oz. aren't going to kill me.

Cause I might find out I'm only 25% dead.

You should have one every couple of years.

Its not free, but it isn't costing us anything more for me to get one so if you don't use your allotted one per year you are kinda throwing it away.

The time to catch stuff is now when I'm sorta old rather than when I'm really old. Like you, L'Habitant.Tongue

I haven't racked everything on my harness since I was a n00b, or climbing something very steep where the gear sling would just be hanging behind me inaccessible.

I normally rack all my cams on a sling and draws/ slings on my harness. Nuts normally go on the harness, but sometimes on the sling.

The way I rack depends on the situation too. I have found it easier in most instances to just have everything on my harness. The sling is nice, but I've been a ropegun for so long that it just makes sense to me to rack however I like.

Pft! You only started racking on a gear sling ~3 years ago. When we met you were a total harness racker.

Awesome, another harness vs. sling debate.
