I gotta have sum'in to do while I'm driving around. Might as well be a thorn in this thread's side.

Well, I do try to have something relevant and interesting to say on occasion. Barring that... just the random thought that pops into my head. Evidence would indicate that not much of interest passes between my ears these days.

True, but if we can get him typing while drunk, complete with the drunking Scottish spelling of all words it could be funny.

Yeah I was about to pull over the slightly cruxy roof, and the first piece you see is my jesus nut after the anchor to keep from falling right on my partner or the anchor. As for the sling, I carry my slings over my shoulder, therefore they are always extended.

You will eventually realize that carrying slings over your shoulder becomes a monstrous fucking hassle.

Since my jaunt up Mt. Whitney last year I've taken to racking on my harness. That's what those loops are for right? I've since climbed where I needed my FULL rack and the sling carried my doubles; they were placed first. A couple extra oz. aren't going to kill me.

I haven't racked everything on my harness since I was a n00b, or climbing something very steep where the gear sling would just be hanging behind me inaccessible.

I normally rack all my cams on a sling and draws/ slings on my harness. Nuts normally go on the harness, but sometimes on the sling.

Awesome, another harness vs. sling debate.

Go GriGri!

I have many pitons... pitons are good, I even have a vintage bong and a vintage thing (like Knifeblade thin) Stubai LA that came out on a climb. Vintage stays on my mantle, non-vintage gets hammered into chossy rock, for aid, and most often to beef up a belay that otherwise would be marginal.

Just ordered in an Edelrid EDDY. Looking forward to using it in a couple weeks when it comes in.

Now I can be an inatentive belayer, brewing coffee and smoking cigars while aid belaying.... all that an I wont have to touch a GriGri.

I also have a few replacement KB's on that order... most of my often used sizes have been mangled and straightened to many times... time to retire them , just like the one hanging in my office.

I want to try to maintain a climbing-specific diet with limited resources (i.e. a whisperlite). I'm planning onh fruits, veggies, PBJ, pasta, etc. Anything you guys have found to be particularly successful?

Wow....are you drunk?

Or do you just not understand the difference between past and present tense.

When we went to Alberta last year there was a frinkn algae bloom in the OBET.

I wasn't drunk, I just couldn't see very well to read. Crazy Thanks for clearing up that little word went for me.

Admit it, you were smashed!
I never admit anything. I was going to ask you though, being Canadian and all, and living west. Do we have a Canadian mid west? I think not.

Nope no midwest in Canada...

There's the East Coast, Frog land, Onterrible, Nothern Onterrible, Alberta, teh Rockies, teh Purcells, the interior, the Coast Range, the West Coast, Nothern BC, The Yukon (Kick ass place BTW), NWT's, Nunavut and Baffin Island then Back to the NewfyLand.

I have heard there is something between Nothern Onterrible and ALberta, but I'm nto quite sure what it is.... Pugitory comes to mind, hell (but only in summer), hell frozen over (but only in winter)... these things I've been told.
hahah a simple no answer would have sufficed, but okay I like your description and totally agree. So nate, there is NO midwest Canada
Shows what you don't know
