Sling is so vague. Does it refer to a trad sling or a sport sling?

That's pretty damn annoying if it happened in person. Fortunately, these arguments seem to only really crop up here on rc.knob, in my experience. I must be climbing with the right wrong crowd!

of course, when you're in the 'Gunks, if you ask your partner how many draws he has, and he says, "12," and then pulls out a dozen quickdraws, then you know there's been a slight miscommunication.
