Dana --- sent you a PM. We will get you on the Crow Hill email lists. There are two. --- Bill Dana get a email address on your profile or send me an email. Bill Dana also check out the WMCC event scheduled for 9/26. I can't make it due to a wedding. The folks and climbing in Western Mass are great. Great opportunity to meet the group out there.

Robb Ditto what Eric said. It is hard sometimes to get MDs to understand that despite being on the mature side I am a serious athlete and climbing is a very important part of my life. My primary care doc is now on board. I have also found a sports medicince-focused orthropod for necessary referrals. This after somewhat disappointing interactions with two others after the guy I had seen over the years closed his practice. Good luck Bill

Eric, BIll, The guy working on my ankle is very much on board, I told him straight out that climbing is a priority. He replied that he was working towards a goal that gies me back as close to 95% function as possible. He said something like, "you'll definitely climb again, youre relatively young, generally fit and active, and have the proper mindset and motivation to help yourself have a good result." it'lll be a rough road and a long recovery, but I'm optimistic. its a setback to my climbing, certainly, but not even close to the end.

Neither do I have any desire to offer myself up to the accident and injury forum flame pit. you have my email, don't you? if you've got my cel still call me. Or, watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/...feature=channel_page I am leading Cerberus, but taking the much easier right handed start, and then traversing left to the main crack system. where I fell from was about 5 feet left of that easy start. I've added annotations to the video. pause it at 21 seconds for some feet info for start and fall, and again at 46 seconds, for hand positions, start thru fall, with the initial gear placement. due to the camera angle foreshortening, "left hand - second position", and "left hand - first position" look very close to each other, rather the second position is about 1 foot right and 2.5 feet above the left hand first pos. its almost a cross hand move. ordinarily its a VERY positive hand. i just uploaded another vid of me toproping the climb doing the exact move i fell from. I'll link it once it fnishes processing. here it is: http://www.youtube.com/...feature=channel_page in it, is the essential mistake that caused my fall: pause the vid at 21 seconds and look where my left hand is. when I led it on the 20th, I reached for the similar hold about 5 inches lower, which is shallower and dirtier.

Dana any reason you are looking for the old Boston Rocks? A new edition came out relatively recently that is pretty well done. You can find it in EMS. Monday's plans uncertain. If I am going to head to CH I will give you a head's up. Bill

All the EMSs in Boston stock them. I don't know about outside of the city though. I am interested in the Crow Hill trip. The only time I had ever been there the cliff was dripping water everywhere.

Everything at Crow Hill is dry with the exception of a little ground water seep out of the cracks at the bottom of Post Road and Franny's Folly which doesn't interfere with the climbing.

Now we're talking!!! I will bring a cooler with some appropriate beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Basically whatever is left from yesterday's party. Should be enough for up to 6 or so of us. May not make it at 8 but I won't be too fall behind.

my outdorr climbing days are some tuesdays, thrusday, friday, and the weekends so let me know if anyone is free to climb during the week when places will be less crowded. Also, does anyone else belong to Rockspot Boston? I just moved here from Boulder and dont really have anyone to climb with. I would always rather be outdoors but usually pull plastic after classes on weeknights if anyone wants to hit up the rockspot anytime let me know. Are there any other slackliners here? Im looking for people to set up longlines with, and also have scoped some sweet highline potential at some of the quarries nearby if anyone is interested
