In reply to: jabtocrag-pot does not kill brain cells, it damages neural syanpses in your frontal lobe, meaning that your short-term memory strikes a hit. Couldn't you just wait a little while?

In reply to: In reply to: Smoking anything is basically unethical, for instance, Really? Unethical you say? Strictly an academic question in my case you understand, but where do you stand on POLE SMOKING? Is that unethical too? Just trying to keep things, um, straight, in my own mind. Hehe, yes I feel its unethical. This is obviously affected by the society I live in. We have public healthcare and any problems that might arise from a persons cigarette/pot habit will eventually cost the society when that person seeks medical assistance. Sure they pay taxes too, and they pay a cigarette tax or something. But the problem isnt just money, but the number of doctors. Less medical issues = better for everyone. Obviously in the states, you're the one thats gonna pay so its your own damn business! And I think pole smoking might be a little off topic. If it truly interests you, I suggest you start a new thread.

Add our modern lifestyles pretty much in their entirety my friend. None of us are islands and never were. You can't fart without someone else breathing in your shit, and that is a fact. So we're all unethical. Cool. Welcome to my world. Its all interconnected. Cheers mate DMT

I can see the scepticism about the cyanide and your right that i cant document it. And saying "lots" of deaths caused by it was my overstatement. But micah its true that it is done and has killed. While i lived in houston one of my freinds got it :( Also if i am wrong than im wrong. Maybe i was lied to and led to belive. ive been around enough of it to belive it but still if its untrue and you can prove it im more than willing to listen. I still dont belive name calling is quite necessary though. Thanks.

If you claim that something is a fact, it is your responsibility to prove so. Saying that it is someone else's responsibility to disprove your claim is wrong, wrong, wrong. Consider; I claim that George W. Bush is in fact some sort of alien lifeform set on the destruction of the human race. Now, by your logic, until someone disproves me, my statement stands as fact. Jesus Christ! Our nation is being run by a meglomaniacal alien!

I try to eat healthy and avoid fast food. I dont have a car and will never buy one. The only times i've needed a car were to go to some way faroff climbing place, and we just borrowed someone elses and stuffed the whole thing full of people. I cant say i'm completely sober (even now!), but doesnt the latest research suggest that a drink a day keeps the heartattack away? But I agree with the fossil fuels, thats why its sad that governments pour so much money into war and the military instead of researching and improving clean, reusable energy sources.
In reply to: Add our modern lifestyles pretty much in their entirety my friend. None of us are islands and never were. You can't fart without someone else breathing in your s---, and that is a fact. Nice example, but i dont think ppl fart s---, its just gas... i hope. Besides, if ppl were passing c---, it would just get stuck inside your underwear, shorts whatever. Unless you're nude most of the time, in which case gravity would do its work... but this is way off topic... :?

In reply to: Marijuana vs. Tobacco It's true that both marijuana and tobacco contain toxic chemicals such as tar, carbon monoxide, and cyanide. But marijuana smoke has more cancer-causing chemicals than tobacco. As stated before, it contains more than 400 harmful chemicals, which includes cancer-causing carcinogens. Marijuana smoke contains some of the same carcinogens and toxic chemicals as tobacco, but in higher concentrations. The amount of marijuana smoke inhaled per puff is two thirds larger than a typical puff of a tobacco cigarette. The reason behind this is that marijuana is smoked differently than tobacco. Marijuana smoke is inhaled deeper into the lungs, and is held there up to four times as long. These long drags force the rapid absorption THC by the lungs, the active ingredient in marijuana. As a result, the toxic chemicals in marijuana smoke can do much more damage to the lungs than cigarette smoke. Oh and this is another good one for ya
In reply to: Saying nobody ever died from smoking marijuana is like saying nobody ever died from smoking tobacco. Marijuana contains the same cancer causing chemicals as tobacco. Marijuana contains acetone, hydrogen cyanide, ammonia, carbon monoxide, benzene, benzo pyrene, nitrosamines and many other cancer causing pollutants.

yeah, i saw the same items on a google search for marijauna + cyanide. here's the thing though; the hydrogen cyanide is a by-product of the combustion. it's not "laced". it is, in fact, the by-product of combustion of quite a few things. prezwoods, i'm not attacking you personally. i just think that disinformation is a poor tool for influencing minds. if you tell kids things about a drug that are later shown to be bald-faced lies, you destroy your own credibility and call into question all previous statements you have made. (For instance, way back when "reefer madness" came out, the movie claimed marijuane would induce homicidal fits in otherwise normal people). marijuana is neither good nor bad. it has certain side effects that some people enjoy, and certain side effects that pose a health risk. that's all. it's up to individuals to consider the facts and decide for themselves. in an earlier post you said one of your friends experienced pot laced with cyanide. did he die? (don't mean to sound callous here, but cyanide is a rather deadly substance; micrograms of the powder can kill large numbers of people). is there a public record? 'cause that'd slam-dunk this debate in your favor.

Who gives a sh*t if he smokes it or not. It is his business not anybody in these forums. So all should get a life and not worry about what Chris does in in own personal life. I do not know him personally but , I still say to all of you that is sitting there with a thumb up the as$ condemning him or wondering if he smokes or doesn't, it's none of your dam% business. He should be no less of a person or climber to anyone because of his personal life and what he does with his own time. WORRY ABOUT YOURSELVES NOT SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
