What sort of gear are you always wishing you had, but it was never available? Or what sort of changes would you make to your current gear if you could?

I would love some sort of website, where people come to talk about climbing when they can’t climb. Discuss ideas, routes, issues, injuries, etc. I think it could be a valuable piece of “climbing equipment”. Though, I’m sure that with time most productive talk would turn decadent, people would insult each other for no reason, and others who have no idea what they’re talking about would sing their ideas for all to hear. Soon it would be a mess of useless drivel and most would either leave, or start their own little sub-community, where all they talk about are strippers and beer. I guess I’ll just take a cam with 5 lobes.

Trophy /\ the best way to describe RC i've heard just being curious but why only 5, why not 6 lobes... and maybe a voice-activated mechanized trigger pull on the monster, save some tendons

I always thought an ATC without a wireloop but instead had a locking-binerlike thing would be nice. Atc hangs too far down from my leg loop when not in use, and I always have too much gear on me to put it on a loop. Other than that, I can't think of anything else. Pretty much have/use everything I need to get up the rocks I climb. Talent in a bottle would be cool so I could climb more rocks though.

Battery operated accenders. No, no wait..... Hydrolic cams. Sticky Chalk, Sticky rubber suit for chimneys, A big ass hotdog and beer stand on top of El Cap. But I'll settle for some aluminum HB offsets.

Climate controlled long underwear. Kinda like that..uhm...I think north face made it...the jacket with a heater built in. Only this would bea whole suit, wouldn't cost a fortune, and the batteries would last a really long time. At least 24+ hours. Also have the capability of cooling too, but that's not necessarily a requirement, just a bonus. I wanna be able to head out into the cold and not worry about layers or bulky warm clothing. It'll just keep me comfy no matter what. --Andy P

gravity balls little ultra dense orbs that warp space-time creating their own gravitational field which adheres them to the rock for you to clip into. When you're done just push a button and they switch off pop off the rock. I guess what i'm saying is, removable bolts

These balls were 75X lighter than helium when turned on. They were the size of a golf ball. Then, one climber got the bright idea of cramming one up his ass to help him send. It ended up lodged in his brain because of the immense upward force involved. He was permanently retarded from the ordeal. Yvon scrapped the project shortly after this. The victim went on to invent bouldering.

I made few prototype climbing gears, just do not know when I should get it going and market it. For now I keep it low profile.

I've always wanted a portable replicator. It's a bitch when you are close to the top of that pitch and need that piece you placed earlier. Wouldn't it be nice to just replicate one? It would also work for partners ... think about that people!

For high altitude or extreme cold expeditions, a light weight, pack transportable device, solar and wind powered, capable of generating bottled oxygen and making small amounts of electricity for warmth and melting water.

Elven rope like Sam and Frodo had so we can rap on only one strand and still get it down. (yes, I know and use doubled ropes and the girth hitch/pull line) self cleaning pro for rope soloists. that way at the end of a pitch, you dont have to rap and jug up to clean it, you just push some buttons, all the pro and the bottom anchor comes out, and you pull it up and rerack for the next pitch

how about remote control stick clips - just insert the desired piece of pro into the gear placing helicopter, clip a sling and your rope into it, then fly it up and stick it in. no more runouts!! just think, nearing the top of el cap, RCing up a former A4+,... yell down to your partner to send up more batteries on the zip line,... "umm,... we're all out!" guess we'll have to lead it the old fashioned way. aluminum offsets would be nice though, maybe with an option for long cables to match my long cabled Frost Nuts!
