I'm out at Breckenridge skiing all week and I must say, it is much better than all my East coast skiing (which is only at a few local spots). Bacon?! MEAT IS MURDER! Binrat, I feel you on the long routes problem. Our wall is only about 28 - 30 feet tall. I'm hoping that doing long chains of climbing will help my endurance before I hit up RRC. delicious murder. I have the same problem in gyms too, the wall at school is only 25 ft. Every now and then I try to get in a set of 4x4s. 4x4s? you and your partner pick 4 routes, you climb one 4 times, then your partner climbs it 4 times, then move to the next one you picked. That's my work out for tomorrow, if I can find a partner. Otherwise it's just 4x4 solo climbing. :/

I guess so. Why do you think that is? Different folks? Lack of interest? Different times? Many of the people who used to be in the shoppe don't even post here anymore. Some lurk. I don't get some other bs posts. Baileys with that?

Baileys with that? sadly, the coffee shoppe's clientele has moved on. they've found other shoppes or maybe decided they didn't need a coffee fix. what me get nostalgic, but I hear ya Charley, it ain't what it used to be. but, as long as some of the old regulars are here, i'll still be looking for a coffee shop.

You know the coffee shop is one of the places I post regularly. Sometimes I post elsewhere but never the frequency or regularity of my coffee shop posts. I'm glad you all are still here! On a lighter note, I found out I'm getting almost a grand back in taxes. PLUS I qualify for that economic stimulus refund. Yikes.

We tried that, we also tried an on-going coffee thread, but peopel coudln't grasp the concept. the on-going one makes the most sense to me. For us office types the coffee thread usually beats talking to the people we work with.

I still need to spend a lot more time climbing it too! Its funny that a continuous coffee shop never worked around here....you got two threads here in Community which are essentially that, and they just happened on their own. Maybe you guys tried too hard?

Why don't we just keep this as our coffee shoppe? I could edit the name, such as "THE" coffee shoppe. Any ideas. I'm not at work, I just come in to say hello and check the talk. This used to be where ppl working came to bs as they had their morning coffee.

Maybe you guys tried too hard? Which overhead stuff? The FreeStanding wall, orange wall, lead wall or roof? I dont' think we tried hared enough. Two days later there we were still having random people starting coffee threads, and then the next monday half of the people forgot..so it was just easier to give up and go with the flow. As I've said before, the BET and BET2 are just coffee threads for different groups of users. I don't see why people have a problem with any of them.

krillen wrote: Which overhead stuff? The FreeStanding wall, orange wall, lead wall or roof? I like to play on all the over hanging stuff, but the lead wall and the roof are good 'cause they're the ones I'm most likely to let myself fall on when leading. But we couldn't lead 'cause Ried said he didn't have time to give Binrat a lead belay test (which was a bit of bullshit, it doesn't take that long to do the test, and it keeps customers happy). The orange wall was in shambles 'cause Ried hadn't put the starts back up to those routes. Why the heck did he take down all the comp problems anyway? I thought that would be a major draw for the next 3 or 4 weeks for Gravity.

Here ya go Bin - some chocolate-covered pretzels for you. I'm keeping 2 for myself but you can have the rest. A girl has to have some chocolate even if it is dark.

Morning Robb and all the rest. It feels good to get cash from the company and then use it to get gear you will wear for years. I get today in and head for florida.
