Snoop - The directions in the routes database are spot on.

http://www.rockclimbing.com/routes/listArea.php?AreaID=817

Just get yourself to HWY 2 in La Canada(sp?) and you're there. Since you'll be traveling east, if you go thru a tunnel you have gone too far.

Enjoy the climbing

Gosh darn it, I'm not going to make it to Williamson after all. Got too much work to do still. I'm planning to hit Stoney Point for my first time Tuesday evening. Anyone familiar with the area care to show me and some friends around? Got a crashpad and gear for TR. Cheers, Terry

Hi everyone..just wanted to check in and say hello. I went to Tahquitz for the first time this weekend with Art and had a great time. Damn it feels good to be a Trad climber ;)

Hope everyone's weekend went well...the summer is almost over and Josh is peeking it's head over the horizon..I can't wait for fall!

Cheers!

Im Back in good ol' Cali and ready to go vertical. Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th. Well my plan to get a rope when I got back maybe on hold until mid next month due to the $307 I had to pay to get my car out of airport parking at LAX. Its good to have friends who say they can take you to the airport and dont call you to tell you they can make it. Aint that a kick in the nuts. Anyways, when ever where ever Im up for anything. Just let me know.

look forward to climbing with you guys again soon. not sure whats goin on this weekend but will keep in touch.

Becki, you are so right!!!
Tahquitz is great!!! I've been there on Sunday and it was just a long vertical dream...

See you.

Tahquitz is not vertical.

Now, if you're talking about the approach, I'd agree, but I'd say "nightmare," not "dream."

i dunno...i don't think "nightmare" is really good enough to describe the approach. "hellish" or "death march" maybe? are those any better?

You sound like my grandma!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hike is just a nice warmup! It's not that bad.
I like it.
And it's really fun with a rope and all the gear.

Matthias.

--- I have to add: No, I won't carry all your gear to the rock!!!

Hello and welcome to page 18! ;)

Well, weekend forecast for Winslow, AZ: 30% chance of showers, high about 96. Forecast for the L.A. mountains: clear, high 70s. Uh, yeah, that was easy! (sorry, Alex) "Commuter local" happy dance!
