caughtinside, did you do the foxy or the riverbank? I did the riverbank.

I did the foxy. It was lots of fun, but I froze my butt off! Where was the riverbank?

spent saturday feeling like SamIAm:

no, No, NO! I do not like slab.
I will not try slab.
But I must? To find that pro? To see that wall?

okay, SamI Am. I will try slab, I am.

hey! Sam, I like this slab. Forget that cam.
I'll come back to climb that crack,
but first I'll nab that slab!

okay so I am not original.

I was hoping to get to Granite Mtn for some longer trad routes but was unsure of the weather. So my partner and I took a group of 3 indoor climbers to climb on some real rock for their first time. We went to Queen Creek and did some easy to moderate sport routes. Overall had a great weekend.

burried my hound dog on saturday in the rain. the poor guy was struck and killed by a car sat. a.m.

sunday, went lurking (as usual) around horsemen's center, chumming for partners. ended up discovering an awesome bouldering circut and bumming a couple TR burns.

Check out my weekend LOL...

2 weeks ago I asked my supervisor if I could leave around 12 for my first Homecoming at my school as an alumni. Last Tuesday I reminded him about this and he had no problems with it... b/c afterall he was leaving to go on a week long cruise for his bday the next day.

Friday: At 12 after all my work was done for the week and after sitting around and doing absolutely nothing all morning with my supervisor (b/c we had no work to be done) I let him know that I was about to take off... he says that I was not alowed to take off early b/c he had shit for me to do. Although I was annoyed at his comment I said nor did anything about his response. Immediately after, we left to take an hour and a half lunch b/c it was my supervisor's bday. Afterwards we went to another of our offices to pick up some stuff (that we were going to get on Monday). From the office my supervisor split (b/c its ok for him to leave and not I for some reason  ) leaving me and another worker to take the crap back to our office 25 mins away. By the time I got off work it was pushing three(we start work at 6 and end at 230-3). I went to get on the hwy to commence my 7.5 hour drive to my school only to be stuck in traffic. After waiting 45 mins and not moving more than 3 miles I decided to call it quits, since there was no other way out of town thanks to some severe flooding earlier in the week. So I turned around and headed for home. I ended up missing my first homecoming.

Monday: It gets better! :D

I come in monday to find out that my supervisor's boss wanted to see me in his office. I walk in and he says that we're gonna have to let you go b/c you are not a smart investment for this company at this point and you are "difficult to work with" according to some employees. For the few of those who know me I am about as mellow as they come.

That pretty summs up my weekend... did anyone have one better than I?

Saturday I swung leads with Ihategrigri's on a neat 7 pitch route on Cascade mountain in Banff. Then went to a kick ass climbing slideshow on Saturday night. The weather was shitty on Sunday so my wife and I went to the climbing gym.

caught some nice trout while fly fishing with streamers on the green river below flaming gorge in utah. great fun - never been on such a big river where you could see every fish. my tapwater isn't as clear as the water there.

That was fun! Next time you get to link the runout crux pitches ok?

Almost achieved the magic sequence an Campus Punks at Rocktown. I've only been falling off of the damned slab for the past six or seven years. I promise I'll send it next time.

Friday was my bday, got rather hammered. Went to the PDX ice fest/gear demo/drytool comp hungover on saturday.. Almost flashed the M8 comp route and placed second... my first time ever drytooling (I guess it's not really a flash on TR though). Now I've gotta save up and buy myself a pair of nomics. Camped outside of vancouver, woke up to pouring rain, thought it would ease up, 10 minutes later I started packing up in the ensuing torrential downpour. Made it from Vancouver to seattle in ~2 hrs 40 minutes including stops for gas and burger king. Sadly doesn't come close to my buddy's Seattle-Bellingham record of 48 minutes.
