Lucy Liu climbs. She's not a bad climber either.

Stand around, look pretty, act like you know what you are talking about. They must make perfect gym climbers!

In Ashley Judd's press release it lists 'rockclimbing' as one of her hobbies. Don't know at what level though.

I've heard of Jon Bon Jovi sightings at Jtree. There is a picture of Kip Winger climbing in the Bighorn Sheep mating Grotto in Jtree. Didn't one of the Kennedys actually get guided up a mountain FA somewhere? Alaska? RFK?

In reply to: i sometimes see joshua jackson at the LA rockreation... he usually has to have one of the staff members give him a catch though. i think he's relatively new to this. last summer, a friend from the A-16 in west LA helped him buy loads of new gear, then a month later I saw him at Crossroads Cafe in Jtree. had to suppress the elitist urge to snicker and later wondered how humbling it must be to have to be recognized for being a Dawson's Creek pinup boy.

In reply to: Didn't one of the Kennedys actually get guided up a mountain FA somewhere? Alaska? RFK? yeah. i saw a documentary on his life. it said Robert Kennedy was guided up and they let him reach the peak first and he put a plaque there in memory of his brother John.

In reply to: It must also get you a HIGH insurance premium! Schumacher probably racks up, ties in, chalks up...then the crew chief calls in Barrichello to do the climb, just to be on the safe side. Score another one for Ferrari! :D

In reply to: Lucy Liu climbs? Anyone got pics of that? Hmm. All I managed to find was this interview: QUESTION No. 5: Rock climbing. You climb like crazy, then you come down. Are we missing something? ANSWER: I understand why people do extreme sports: they give you a feeling you can't match. It's close to death. It's so dangerous that you get a certain high from it. Once you get that high, there's nothing you can replace it with. I lived in New York all my life and was never athletic.I came out here and I started doing things I'd never done before, like hiking and roller-skating. Women are better climbers than men, generally, because men usually try to muscle their way up with their arms. By the time they're a quarter of the way up they ar eexhausted and they've blown themselves out. Women usually have stronger legs. It's called the four points -- if your four points are even, then your energy is dispersed in a good way. It's a Zen way of working out.

I believe Charisma Carpenter and Vincent Kartheiser rock climb. Charisma Carpenter played Cordelia in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel". Vincent kartheiser played Angel's son in "Angel".

There are climbers and then there are climbers. That stupid ass stunt show where people eat gross shit? They had some model-type LA woman on, a self declared rock climber. She made big houie that she was an experienced climber. Their stunt was to grab a rope ladder from the back of a boat and climb into a chopper. Like 30 feet or so. Our EXPERIENCED (lol) rock climber could not pull herself up and get on the ladder, period. She fell in the water. I think a lot of celeb climbers are in this same league. DMT

In the late 80s David Lee Roth hired a friend of mine to take him climbing in the Red River. He had a show at Rupp and a day off in the area. Evidently he was a pretty terrible climber with one hell of an attitude. Totally unwilling to listen to anyone. Doesn't surprise me much really.

I saw that too Dingus, (somehow the first part of that sentence sounds dirty) All I could do was shake my head. The shot of Lucy Liu looks like she is canyoneering. This thread has gone far longer than I thought. Thanks for the input. Blur
