lookin for people to climb with anytime during the summer months. I've got mostly indoor rock experience and I've done some climbing at King Phillip's wall and Pok-O-Moonshine as well as Owls Head and at Chapel Pond. I don't have my own transporation or gear but will be more than happy to contribute good stories, a good climbing partner, and gas money

I just moved up to the western side of the Adirondacks and am looking for a weekend partner, climbing all day Saturdays and at least half days on Sundays. Have rack, rope, car, etc. and love to climb. Contact me if you're interested.

I don't know about the Gunks, but the birds and lizards are out in force, and the wildflowers have already begun blooming in Joshua Tree. IT'S SPRING! And you know what? IF I was at the Gunks today, and if it wasn't seeping wet and winter-chilled, I do believe I would have the head to lead High E.(Lets' see how long it takes me to get it up on that route when it's actually available to me....hahahaha).

skaplan wrote: Anybody been to the Gunks recently and have a report on the conditions? The trail from the trapps lot to the cliff is an ice flow. I was happy to have my microspikes today. Much of the carriage road is covered in ice pack. The trails to the climbs are clear. The climbing itself is great (today, 50 degrees, no sun). The rock was try, sometimes slimy in pods, cracks or muddy on horizontals. Had a great time climbing today...

Hopefully the carriage roads are clearing, and the pre-season countdown has begun! My official stance on the Gunks season has always been 3/20 through 11/20. But even so.....I had intended to be back to NY for 5/1 and now it is looking more like 5/15. That is...if the van problem that has now just shown up isn't debilitating to my traveling. It looks like fuel delivery-related, but haven't had anyone take a look yet. Pray for something simple!

Trails and carriage road are clear. Trapps parking lot was nearly full on Saturday/Sunday this weekend. Rock was wet, lots of climbers wandering around looking for dry terrain.

Hey my name is Genevive, I'm 22 and looking for a climbing partner for this summer. I live about 30 minutes from the gunks and climb about a 5.6- 5.7. I have not led anything yet, but looking to improve my skills greatly this season. Looking for someone who has a great sense of humor and might wanna share a beer after an awsome day of climbing!

I live 20 minutes from the Ridge and 45 minutes from Catskills ice. Most of my friends/climbing partners are guides, so on the weekends, when I have off, they are working. Hence I'm in the market for some climbing partners that are available on the weekends. See profile for more details about me. Don't get to check rock climbing.com that often, so if interested, please send me an email at climbingbetty22 at hotmail dot com.
