Why would you want to go to a class on how to screw up access and loose your crag?

What are you up to this weekend?
I did some bouldering today. I bet I got in about an imperial ton in two hours. Maybe not though. My truck was really squatting. I should have got a trailer to take with so I could have got more. There was one hugey I wanted to get, but we were having a hell of a time moving it to get it in the truck. I have to unload them myself at home, so I decided against it. I still got 9 way to heavy for me to lift boulders plus a bunch of smaller ones.

Tomorrow if it isn't raining we are going climbing. If it does rain maybe we will go get more boulders.

Did you wear a beenie?

Yaaa Party time on the deck!! Looks awesome. Are you going to treat the cedar? I love the colour of fresh cedar, but then it turns grey. Ours is so grey. I was thinking of sanding it this year.
I love the trellis and flower box. Very nice touch.

You would need to powerwash the deck and use a deck cleaner to make it look nice. Sanding could help get rid of splinters. Is your deck cedar or treated? You can use colored sealer to make the treated look better.

Yes we are going to put a protector on it. The sucky thing with that is you need to keep doing it every couple of years. I shoulda used the composite decking. But that would have made it really expensive.
Ours is cedar. We used sealer for the first few years, but stopped. I think they have better products out now

You can rent a trap from the SPCA. They l ike peanut butter
Since you know so much about it I'll leave it up to you.

And why do they deserve to live? Do they pay taxes? Do they help the environment?

No. The free load and expel noxious gases into the atmosphere with their stink butts. They dig up and kill plants that could have helped reduce greenhouse gases and in turn the plants rot and fill the sky with greenhouse gases of their own. On top of that they eat animal babies and destroy the nests of ground nesting birds. And they carry rabies. They are one of the most likely of animals to have rabies.

Skunks MUST DIE!!!!Unimpressed
You just made all that up. Its the circle of life and they have a purpose. Right now it's to torment you!!! I think thats great! hahah

Thats easy to do from Buffalo. I walked on the plane with 6 little bottles of baileys. As long as the liquids are under 3oz

That's a good way to end the trip early.

When was the last time you tried flying?
They have eased up a lot. We were in England when the liquid bombs terrorist thing happened. That was hell.

It's not that hard to do, most of the TSA people are on coke. They managed to smuggle bomb making material right by them according the study that was done by TSA-contracted personnel.

It's also not a big deal if you get caught. I was once, and I just said "hey it's less than 5 oz. (or whatever the limit is), so I thought it would be ok." If it's obvious that you aren't trying to hurt anything and are calm, the worst they will do is take it away...and then drink it themselves.

I didn't build the front step.

I put chicken wire around the perimeter of the deck and buried it to hopefully keep them out of under there.

But getting back to our conversation about bodies, I think Doc might have been right. A while back I could smell this skunky nastiness in our basement. I think it might have been the skunks under the step.

I have heard that the only thing stinkier than a skunk is a dead skunk.

My cousin ran over a Skunk with her Camaro a number of years ago... ended up dragging the stink rodent a few hundered meters down the road (lower ground clearence). It was a damn hot summer that year too, and no amount of engine degreaser could get the smell away, especially when the engine warmed up.Crazy
Thats disgusting. Similar thing happened to me, but it was a bag of frozen fish that defrosted in the back of our van. Didn't realize the juice had run down into some grooves. One week later, we were on our way to Nova scotia and the smell kept getting worse and worse. Our first stop in QB I looked for the source of the smell and found thousands of maggots swimming in this fish liquid. I gagged the whole time I was cleaning it up.

Where are you two meeting? You both fly to the same airport then fly West or East or whatever direction they fly there?

Meeting at the airport kinda sucks. Thankfully when I would pick Bec up I always had my truck. Bec's car wasn't quite as accommodating. I bet that in a pinch those "family" bathrooms would work.

I fly into Bangkok the night before (approx 20 hours prior) and I'll have already checked into the hotel, slept a night and half the day and will go collect her at the airport when she arrives. Her flight is a bit shorter than mine but she leaves a day later.
That will be a very sweet reuinion

I've told this tale before, but I'll share it again.

When I was young, growing up on a ranch, we had tons of ranch-cats. Near-feral things, we would feed them on the front porch in exchange for them keeping the local mouse population somewhat under control.

One afternoon approaching winter solstice as the days grew shorter, my older sister was just arriving home from school. Coming up the steps to the porch, she reached down to pet one of the cats eating from the cat food bowl. Of course, this was not one of the cats, but in the early evenind dusk that she didn't realize this until it stiffened it's back legs and released an immense cloud of pungent stuff.

It took several gallons of tomato juice to clean her and the front porch up to the point that it wouldn't make your eyes water.

The only thing she can really say about it after all these years is "Skunks? Yeah, I petted one. Once."
My story's better. Yours is too long
